You're Too Stupid to Understand Your Constitution

I read an article about Senator Mark Warner (D-Va) on the CNSNEWS website. During a town hall the Senator said there is "no place in the Constitution" that mentions health care or education or the right to own a telephone. As is typical of liberals, he proceeds to attack the poor woman who asked the question.

How stupid do they think we are?

The Constitution isn't about what WE THE PEOPLE are allowed to do. Rather, it specifically enumerates the powers of the Government and limits what the Government is allowed and not allowed to do. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights protects us from an all-powerful Government.

At least, it's supposed to.

  1. right on, brutha. things have been turned upside down by the statists for sure. obama has even been quoted as saying the constitution is a "charter of negative freedoms" or something to the like. he and his ilk doesn't like the fact that the powers not enumerated to the feds are reserved for the states and the people. period. this government is so monolithic now that i'm not sure it can be stopped anymore by "we the people". bill in lc
